Oh! Oh! 28 days till "D" day

It's official...just 28 days until "D" day. The doctor confirmed it again last week. If Little Dewdrop hasn't arrived by the 13th of August, the doctor is set to induce labor. Stay tuned...we are preparing for the grand debut.

Baby Dew's first shower

Wow! I'm still overwhelmed by everyone's kindness and generosity. To all the wonderful UMR folks who hosted and attended last evening's shower for Baby Dew, Rachel and I offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.

You guys went far above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you for taking time out of your increasingly BUSY schedules and for being so generous to us. We truly appreciate you guys (and your gifts, especially the toys...). Needless to say we went home and played with them. :)

Baby received his first "Little Golden Book", his first little green frog, his first GLITTER and there was a ton of it. LOL After we got home, it took me 45 minutes to get it off all the gifts and off of me. hehehehe (I know, whin, whin, whin...)

Baby debut in 59 days

I stand amazed to know that there is a complete little person growing inside Rachel's womb. A complete little person that only shortly we will be fortunate enough to meet for the first time. How wonderful it is...:) Rachel is most lovely and seems to positively glow. We have been indeed most blessed.

62 days to go

Well, we are down to 62 days remaining. By the weekend, we will have a little under 8 weeks before Little Dewdrop makes his grand entrance. :) I for one simply cannot wait to meet him.

Rachel and I are schedule to attend birthing class on Saturday. I think that is going to be a blast too. I'm going to learn how to be the best support person ever. Let's hope I don't forget anything important. hehehe

Another addition to the nursery

The bassinet arrived a few days ago. Rachel was one step ahead of me and got it assembled and set up. Check it out...another wonderful gift...this time from Grandmere & Pop (Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather Dew).

Just 69 days and counting...

Today marks day 69 on the countdown to Little Dewdrops arrival. :)

The Dew clans unite in preparation for the arrival of Little Dewdrop.

This past week in an extraordinary turn of events, my wonderful brother (Dexton), his wife (Becky), and their cute little boy (Logan) made the arduous journey to Missouri. They came from afar bearing gifts from "Mimi" (Grandmother Shirley). These gifts consisted of beautiful furniture for Little Dewdrop's nursery. So from the northernmost Dew clan to our southernmost kinsmen, we express a heartfelt "thank you". Thanks for working the hours required to provide for this most wonderful of gifts and thanks for taking from you precious free time and making the 10 hour journey to deliver it. Your "freight" charges are indeed more affordable than UPS or FedEx. :)
